Physical description:

A courtesan reading a letter has a toothpick sticking out of her mouth. Notice the elaborate hairpins and her fashionably decorated green lower lip.


There is another copy of this print in the Adachi Ward Museum (足立 区立郷土博物館所蔵), Tokyo.


A Christie's website identifies this print as "...Tegaari so (The calculating type), subtitled Yoshiwara..."
