This actor held this name from 3/1856 until his death in 1877. He had been adopted by Bandō Kamezō I (1800-1873). His father-in-law was Ichimura Uzaemon XII (1812-1851). His brother-in-laws were Onoe Kikugorō V (1844-1903) and Bandō Kakitsu I (1847-1893).
